Tito Ortiz:"I made a stepping stone of Ryan Bader"; wants third fight with Forrest Griffin
by Hubert Lau on July 04, 2011

Tito Ortiz defied odds by defeating Ryan Bader, and wants a third fight with Forrest Griffin according to mmajunkie.com.

Ortiz recently defeated light heavyweight prospect, Bader, via guillotine choke in the first round at UFC 132 and also notched his first win in almost five years. Going into the bout, Ortiz was a one to five underdog who's on a three fight losing streak, contrasted to Bader's sole loss to Jon Jones.

"I made a stepping stone of Ryan Bader. And he said he was going to make a stepping stone of me. But he ain't stepping on this champion. Hell no," Ortiz said.

Ortiz sees his win over Bader as the first in his comeback in MMA and looks for a rubber match with Forrest Griffin. The two first met at UFC 59 where Ortiz won by split decision but was defeated at UFC 106 via unanimous decision.

"I'd like to see Forrest Griffin, maybe the winner between him and 'Shogun' Rua. I want to fight top guys. I want to fight guys with big names. I want to give fans want they want to see. I want the biggest fights in the world," Ortiz said.

Currently, Ortiz awaits his next opponent.

Hizoka: thats Tito, he thinks hes the best ever getting what IMO was a lucky win, but then has an epic excuse to why he loses when he gets beat... IMO he should still retire... go out on a lucky win instead of a horrible defeat like Chuck and Wandi and Randy Cryptic_Soldier: Give him shogun after the griffen fight, would be a better match up than forrest again. Hizoka: Give him the title shot... just to show him how far out of his league he really is Suicidalforlife: $450000 is a nice stepping stone Tito will be out to prove why he's worth the money in the run up to his next fight anyway....
