UFC newcomer Todd Duffee will make his promotional debut against Tim Hague instead of Mike Russow as was originally planned at UFC 102. News of the bout comes via MMAjunkie.com.
According to the report, Mike Russow will get another opponent for the event to be announced shortly.
Todd Duffee has been patiently waiting to make his UFC debut as he signed with the promotion seven months ago and he was originally slated to fight Mostapha Al Turk at UFC 99 in June. However, the UFC opted to pull Duffee from the bout in favor of the returning Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic.
The highly regarded Duffee enters the UFC with an undefeated 4-0 MMA record, with his most recent win coming against former UFC fighter Assuerio Silva at Jungle Fight 11 last September. All of his wins have come via stoppage.
Hague is currently on a five-fight win streak, with his most recent win coming against Pat Berry in his UFC debut back in May at UFC 98. The longtime KOTC veteran, Hague, sports a near flawless MMA record of 10-1 with 5 wins by TKO and 3 by submission. He suffered his lone loss aganst Miodrag Petkovic in February 2008, however, he holds notable wins over the likes of Ruben Villareal and Sherman Pendergarst.
UFC 102 takes place on August 29 in Portland, Oregon and the main card will be televised live on pay-per-view. The event's headliner is a truly legendary heavyweight bout between former UFC heavyweight champions Randy Couture and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
