Polish Striker Tomasz Drawl will make the move down to the UFC's middleweight division from light heavyweight when he takes on Drew McFedries at UFC 103. The news comes courtesy of MMAWeekly.com.
Drawl is coming off a first-round TKO win over Mike Ciesnolevicz at last month's TUF 9 finale and is now 2-1 in three fights with the UFC. In his other UFC bouts, Drwal defeated Ivan Serati at UFC 93 in January and was beaten in his UFC debut by Thiago Silva at UFC 75 in September 2007. The "Gorilla" currently sits at 16-2-1, with 10 wins coming via TKO and 4 by submission.
McFedries scored an impressive 37-second TKO win over Xavier Foupa-Pokam in his last fight at UFC 98 in May. The win snapped a two-fight losing streak, with losses coming against former title contender Thales Leites and UFC new-comer Mike Massenzio. He now sports a 4-4 record in 8 fights with the UFC, with previous wins over Alessio Sakara and Marvin Eastman.
Though the UFC has yet to confirm the event, sources indicate that UFC 103 will take place on September 19 from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX.
The rumored fight card for UFC 103 is starting to shape up nicely with a heavyweight bout between Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic and fast rising prospect Junior Dos Santos as well as two welterweight bouts in Martin Kampmann vs. Mike Swick and Josh Koscheck vs. Frank Trigg.
