Bantamweight fighters Demetrious Johnson (9-1) and Renan Barao (25-1 1 NC) will meet at UFC 130. Norifumi Yamamoto (18-4 1 NC) and Chris Cariaso (11-2) will also take place on the card, according to MMAJunkie.com.
UFC 130 is currently scheduled for May 30th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Neither fight is expected to take place on the pay-per-view portion of the card, although they may be shown via Spike TV or streamed live on Facebook.
Demetrious Johnson will look for his second straight win with the UFC and his fourth straight overall. The exciting bantamweight made an impressive debut when he dominated Yamamoto in his debut with the promotion at UFC 126. Johnson used his blinding speed and impressive takedowns to confuse and stifle Yamamoto's offense for the duration of their bout.
Barao will be making his debut for the organization amidst a 25 fight unbeaten streak. The Brazilian dropped his professional debut and hasn't lost since. In his two fights with the WEC, Barao was able to secure two submissions over Anthony Leone and Chris Cariaso.
The always exciting Yamamoto will hope to get his first win with the UFC after losing to Johnson in his debut at UFC 126. "Kid" has fought as high as lightweight during his career, but has mainly called featherweight his home. After multiple losses at 145, Yamamoto dropped down to 135 where he fought at with the UFC. Another loss for the Japanese import may signal his end with the promotion.
Cariaso will be making his second trip to the Octagon following a successful debut against Will Campuzano at UFC Fight Night 23. He was 1-1 during his time in the WEC, including a loss to Barao.
UFC 130 is headlined by a lightweight title trilogy between champion Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard.
