World Victory Road recently added two more bouts to its rapidly growing Sengoku Eleventh Battle fight card in November. The most recent additions include a heavyweight bout between Dave Herman and Jim York, as well as a lightweight bout between Eiji Mitsuoka and Kazunori Yokota.
Sengoku 11 takes place on Nov. 7 at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan, and the event airs in North America on HDNet.
The winner of the Yokota vs. Mitsuoka bout could face newly-crowned Sengoku lightweight champion Mizuto Hirota at the promotion's New Year's Eve event.
Yokota (10-2-3) is currently on a two-fight winning streak, with the wins coming over Leonardo Santos and Ryan Schultz. He now sports a 4-1 record with Sengoku, with his lone loss with the promotion coming against Satoru Kitaoka. The longtime DEEP veteran holds notable wins over the likes of Michihiro Omigawa and Mizuto Hirota.
Mitsuoka (16-6-2) is 5-1 in his last six bouts, which includes wins in four of his five appearaces in Sengoku. His only loss during that span came at the hands of Satoru Kitaoka. Mitsuoka most recently defeated Clay French at Sengoku 9 in August. The Pride and DEEP veteran has finished 13 of his 16 career wins, including 10 by submission. He holds notable victories over the likes of Gleison Tibau, Brian Cobb, Rodrigo Damm and Joachim Hansen.
Herman has won his last two bouts, which include wins over Josh Barnes and Don Frye. Prior to the wins, he suffered his lone career loss against Choi Mu Bae at January's Sengoku No Ran 2009. The EliteXC veteran sports a near-perfect MMA record of 15-1, with all of his wins coming by stoppage, including 14 first-round stoppages. He holds notable wins over Kerry Schall, Mario Rinaldi and Ron Waterman.
York (11-3) is 1-2 since joining Sengoku, picking up losses against Yoshihiro Nakao and most recently against Antonio Silva at Sengoku 10 in September. His only win with Sengoku came against James Thompson in his second appearance with the promotion at Sengoku 7. York entered Sengoku with an impressive 10-1 MMA record. The New Zealander has finished all of his 11 career wins, including 10 being stopped in the first round.
