Welcome to FiveKnuckles.com live, blow-by-blow coverage of the historic UFC 100 presented by Yahoo UFC PPV.
Tonight's card is coming to you live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada and features TWO Championship main event battles.  A unification bout between Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and Interim Champ Frank Mir.  This is a rematch from a UFC 81 scrap in which Mir won by first round submission.  Also, one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world, Georges St. Pierre, puts his Welterweight Title on the line against world-class striking sensation Thiago Alves.  In addition, The Ultimate Fighter 9 coaches Dan Henderson and Michael Bisping will finally get to settle the score in a long-awaited grudge match.  Jon Fitch vs. Paulo Thiago and Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Alan Belcher will round out the main card.

UFC 100 LIVE ROUND BY ROUND COVERAGE

Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Alan Belcher

Round 1 - Both fighters land solid body kicks early and respect each other's hands.  Belcher lands a nasty groin kick, Akiyama needs time to recover.  The fight continues and fists are flying and landing in both directions now.  Akiyama lands a body kick then Belcher answers with a left that sends Akiyama down.  He stands and recovers then comes back with a body kick and a big right hand.  Belcher answers with a right of his own.  They clinch against the cage and Belcher lands a big elbow.  Akiyama catches a low kick and takes Belcher down as the round ends.  FiveKnuckles scores the round 10-9 for Akiyama.

Round 2 - Akiyama takes Belcher down with judo trip and gains side control.  He lands some punches and elbows.  Belcher gets him back to guard but Akiyama continues to do damage.  Belcher escapes and gets back to his feet where the standup is pretty even.  Belcher lands a big leg kick as the round ends but it's not enough.  10-9 Akiyama again.
