The card for the UFC’s initial visit to Philadelphia’s Wachovia Center on August 8th continues to get stronger and stronger with the addition of a number of bouts to the UFC 101 slate, reports Thomas Gerbasi of UFC.com.

In main card action, middleweight Ricardo Almeida and lightweight Kurt Pellegrino will travel down the New Jersey Turnpike to Philly to battle Kendall Grove and Josh Neer, respectively. Also on the pay-per-view portion of the card, which is headlined by the lightweight title bout between BJ Penn and Kenny Florian and the light heavyweight showdown between Forrest Griffin and Anderson Silva, will be a welterweight clash pitting The Ultimate Fighter season seven winner Amir Sadollah against unbeaten Johny Hendricks.

As of May 4th, added to UFC 101 were the following matchups:

Tamdan McCrory vs John Howard
Matt Riddle vs Dan Cramer
George Sotiropoulos vs Rob Emerson
Jesse Lennox vs Danillo Villefort

This writer may be the first in line when the fighters arrive from parts all over to the "City of Brotherly Love."  Being from Philadelphia, I can tell you this city embraces the Warrior Class attitude and WILL welcome the UFC with open arms.  With MMA gyms springing up all over the city and beyond; the once home of some of the greatest boxing legends of all time will soon produce the same for MMA.

Also on the under-card, Matt Riddle is making a trip back home, sort of.  Being born in Allentown, Pa. Riddle's homecoming will undoubtedly bring friends and family alike to the Wachovia Center.  With a modest beginning and a 2- 0 record, Riddle will be poised to show off his skills both to the crowd gathered and the rest of the UFC's 170's weight class.
