Welcome to FiveKnuckles.com live, blow-by-blow coverage of UFC 109: “Relentless” presented by Yahoo UFC PPV.

Tonight's card is coming to you live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center and for the first time ever will feature a matchup between two current members of the UFC Hall of Fame when Randy Couture takes on Mark Coleman. In addition to that instant classic will be a bout between Nate Marquardt and Chael Sonnen, a contest with middleweight title implications.

Randy Couture vs.. Mark Coleman - Couture wins by submission (choke) at 1:09 of round 2.
Nate Marquardt vs. Chael Sonnen - Sonnen wins by unanimous decision.
Mike Swick  vs. Paulo Thiago - Thiago wins by submission (choke) at 1:54 of round 2.
Demian Maia vs. Dan Miller - Maia wins by unanimous decision.
Matt Serra vs. Frank Trigg - Serra wins by TKO (punches at 2:23 of round 1.
Mac Danzig vs. Justin Buchholz - Danzig wins by unanimous decision.
Ronnys Torres vs. Melvin Guillard - Guillard wins by unanimous decision.
Phillipe Nover vs. Robert Emerson - Emerson wins by unanimous decision.
Phil Davis vs. Brian Stann - Davis wins by unanimous decision.

UFC 109 Main Card Blow-By-Blow:

Matt Serra vs. Frank Trigg

Round one: They trade some punches and Serra is working the left side of Trigg's body with hooks. Trigg counters to the head of Serra then Serra lands a bomb of a right and Trigg goes down. Serra pounces and reigns Terror down on Trigg until the stoppage.

Final result: Serra wins by TKO (punches) at 2:23 of round 1.

Demian Maia vs. Dan Miller

Round one: Miller goes to the body with a right. They're measuring then they clinch but break quickly. Maia shoots but Miller defends and gets pinned to the cage. Miller breaks free and Maia throws a head kick and misses while Miller lands a right to his head. Maia does a score a takedown and as Mller scrambles to his feet Maia lands a knee to the groin then 2 solid punches. Miller takes a brief break. They go back to boxing but no damage is being done. They clinch again and Maia gets Miller down but Miller gets right back to his feet again. Not much action to score but Maia's takedowns give him a 10-9 on FiveKnuckles' card.

Round two: Maia lands a body kick to start round 2. They trade some punches and Miller hits Maia with a leg kick. Maia answers with a nice left to the head. Halfway through the round and it's more of the same. They're circling and throwing but not landing much. Maia has outpointed Miller for...
