UFC 114: "Rampage vs Evans" is officially set to go down as all 22 participants competing on tomorrow night's event successfully made weight earlier today at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada in conjunction with the UFC Fan Expo 2010.
The weigh-in ceremony was streamed live on FiveKnuckles.com courtesy of a UFC-provided feed.
UFC 114 takes place tomorrow, May 29, at the nearby MGM Grand Garden Arena also in Las Vegas with the event's main card to be televised on pay-per-view beginning at 10 p.m. EST.
In addition, the Spike TV broadcast of two select UFC 114 preliminary card bouts, which features a welterweight bout between TUF 7 winner Amir Sadollah and Dong Hyun Kim, as well as a lightweight bout between TUF 8 winner Efrain Escudero and Dan Lauzon, begins an hour prior to the PPV start time at 9 p.m. EST.
The event is headlined by a much anticipated light-heavyweight bout between former UFC champions, and bitter rivals, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Rashad Evans. The staredown is what everyone was waiting to see, however, it didn't equal all the pre-fight smack talk, as both men were silent and just stood nose-to-nose. Jackson weighed in at 205-pounds, while Evans came in a pound heavier at 206-pounds.
In the co-main event, The Ultimate Fighter 3 winner Michael Bisping will face former IFL champion Dan Miller in a featured middleweight bout. Coming out to a showering off boos from the Las Vegas Crowd, Bisping tipped the scales at 186-pounds and Miller came in at 185-pounds.
Other bouts on the main card include a light-heavyweight bout between late replacement Jason Brilz and heavily favored Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. Also, TUF 1 winner Diego Sanchez returns to the welterweight division and will meet undefeated prospect John Hathaway, and highly-touted undefeated heavyweight prospect Todd Duffee returns for the first time since last August to meet Mike Russow in the first bout on televised main card action.
There were a couple of minor hiccups at the weigh-in ceremony, as preliminary card fighters Amir Sadollah and Aaron Riley were overweight on their first attempt. Sadollah initially weighed 172-pounds, which is one pound over the 171-pound welterweight limit but he would disrobe and make weight on his second attempt.
Riley first weighed in at 156.6 pounds, however, he would also hit the mark after disrobing, weighing in at the 156-pound lightweight limit.
