UFC 115: June 12 in Vancouver, Canada
by Natalia Baage on January 06, 2010

UFC 115 now has a home. The beginning-of-summer event will take place on June 12 in Vancouver, Canada, according to MMAJunkie.com.

There are no rumored bouts set for this event as of yet. The General Motors Place will serve as the venue for the fights.

On Dec. 17, the Vancouver City Council passed a vote that will allow mixed martial arts to be contested on a two-year trial. The Vancouver Athletic Commission had previously banned MMA in September 2007.

The UFC has taken two previous trips to Canada. Quebec played host to UFC 83 in April 2008 and UFC 97 in April 2009. Before the trip to Vancouver, the organization will visit Quebec for a third time for UFC 113 on May 1.

While Spike TV is still set to show nine more "UFC Prelim" broadcasts over the course of 2010 (the next is coming on Feb. 6 for UFC 109), there is no work yet whether Spike will air the prelims of UFC 115.
