by Jacob Camargo on July 02, 2010

UFC 116: "Lesnar vs. Carwin" is officially set to go down as all 22 participants competing on tomorrow night's event successfully made weight earlier today at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The weigh-in ceremony was streamed live online as well as televised live for the first time ever on Spike TV.

UFC 116 takes place tomorrow, July 3, at the same venue as today's weigh-in ceremony with the event's main card to be televised on pay-per-view beginning at 10 p.m. EST.

In addition, the Spike TV broadcast of two select UFC 116 preliminary card bouts, which features a heavyweight bout between TUF 10 runner-up Brendan Schaub and Chris Tuchscherer, as well as a light-heavyweight bout between Seth Petruzelli and Ricardo Romero, begins an hour prior to the PPV start time at 9 p.m. EST.

The event is headlined by a UFC heavyweight title unification bout between returning champ Brock Lesnar and interim champion Shane Carwin. Both men came in right at the 265 pound mark, as Lesnar came out to a showering of boos from the crowd, while Carwin was greeted with cheers.

In the co-main event, late replacement Chris Leben and Judoka Yoshihiro Akiyama will battle it out in a featured middleweight contest. Leben tipped the scales at 186 lbs and Akiyama came in a tad lighter at 185 pounds.

Other bouts on the main card include a light-heavyweight bout between past TUF alums Stephan Bonnar and Krzysztof Soszynski. Also, rising contenders Kurt Pellegrino and George Sotiropoulos will meet in a crucial lightweight bout, and the always exciting Chris Lytle will face fellow brawler Matt Brown in a welterweight rematch.

 |  (4) Comments Anthony: Shane's going bald-by-choice for this fight could mean either (or both) of two things: He really means business (see Rashad vs. Sean Salmon) or he did it to show solidarity with Keith Jardine. Dishonest John: I see they gave Carwin a step ladder for that pic. fredshaulage: Actually Carwin had put his shoes back on for the pose but in his defense the soles were only about a 1/2 inch thick.
