UFC 121: "Lesnar vs. Velasquez" weigh-in results
by Jacob Camargo on October 22, 2010

The highly anticipated UFC 121 heavyweight title main event bout between current, reigning and defending UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and undefeated challenger Cain Velasquez, is officially set to go down as both men successfully made weight earlier today at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

All of the other 20 fighters competing on the UFC 121 card also made weight without incident.

UFC 121 takes place tomorrow, October 23, at the same venue as today's weigh-in ceremony with the event's main card to be televised on pay-per-view beginning at 10 p.m. EST.

In addition, the Spike TV broadcast of two select UFC 121 preliminary card bouts, which features two middleweight bouts: Patrick Cote vs. Tom Lawlor and TUF 11 winner Court McGee vs. Ryan Jensen, begins an hour prior to the PPV start time at 9 p.m. EST.

As previously mentioned the UFC 121 main event was made official after both competitors hit their respective targets for the heavyweight title bout. The champion, Lesnar, weighed 264-pounds while challenger, Velasquez, came in at 244 lbs.

In the co-main event, former Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields will make his much talked about UFC debut against rising welterweight contender Martin Kampmann. Shields came in at 170.5-pounds and Kampmann tipped the scales right at 170 lbs.

Other bouts on the main card include a light-heavyweight bout between former UFC champion Tito Ortiz and Matt Hamill. Also, TUF 1 winner Diego Sanchez and the always dangerous Paulo Thiago will look to get back to their winning ways when they meet in a welterweight bout, and former UFC heavyweight title contender Gabriel Gonzaga will face "The Ultimate Fighter" season 10 alum Brendan Schaub.
