UFC 122 bonuses, attendance, and live gate earnings

The UFC handed out $60,000 fight night bonuses to Dennis Siver, Pascal Krauss, Mark Scanlon, and Karlos Vemola for their efforts at Saturday night's UFC 122 in Oberhausen, Germany.

German-born Dennis Siver garnered "Submission of the Night" honors after sinking in a very impressive rear-naked choke over Andre Winner, and his countryman Pascal Kraus came out with a win over Scanlon in the events "Fight of the Night."

Karlos Vemola came back strong from a loss in his UFC debut to drop Seth Petruzelli in the first round of their contest to earn "Knockout of the Night" honors.

UFC 122 drew 8,421 fans to Oberhausen's Konig Pilsener Arena for a live gate of $600,000.

If they had that event in say Edmonton it would fill Rexal place without a doubt. Marker28: I felt that the card was mediocre and the overseas market deserves a championship match, maybe the fans felt the same way. Mrt2006: I come from germany and i´m happy about the ufc events here. But i must say that the UFC 122 card was mediocre and this was the reason why i not buy a ticket. UFC tickets are very expensive. For a half-way good seat i must pay 120€ minimum. The UFC put some German Fighters on the card, thats good, but honestly Krauss and/or sobotta are not so good. I allege that Sobotta never fight on the main card in a normal UFC Event in the US or somewhere else. Overall i´m disappointed about this event and this card. Hopefully they come back with a better card ! UFC 99 was a good card for a first Event. I buy a ticket and i was very happy with that. ^^ B_Type13X2: I actually think that this brings up a good question. Do you really care if local fighters are on the card? Or would you rather just see a good card all around. I understand the desire to have locals fight, but that shouldn't be at the expense of quality. Alot of the main card fights should have rightfully been under card affairs. Mrt2006: that´s the case, i don´t care to see local fights. In germany we have not the chance to see many mma events, but that should not be the answer to put on a lackluster card for ufc 122 with local fighters. I don´t care about the nationality of fighters. For me it´s important that i can see a good card with good fighters. I don´t need a championship match. I want to see good fighters, which might fight for a #1 contender status, that´s all ! GO HARD: the whole giving Germany German fighters, giving UK UK fighters is stupid. this is mma. my favorite fighter is brazilian. people dont give a crap where ur from, its the fighting that people attach to themselves. i hate that they do that to the UK and Germany. its stupid. give them a good show. i would be upset if i got that card. horizontalcracker: I think the fighters largely enjoy fighting at their home town
