Featherweight bout, Michihiro Omigawa vs. Jason Young, and welterweight bout, Mark Scanlon vs. James Head, added to UFC 138 according to bloodyelbow.com.
Omigawa (12-10-1) has had great success in 2009 and 2010, going 8-1-1 while fighting overseas at various Japanese promotions. Since his re-introduction into the UFC, Omigawa has struggled to find his rhythm. He lost his first bout back in the States to Chad Mendes and also dropped his most recent fight to Darren Elkins at UFC 131, albeit from a controversial unanimous decision. Omigawa is also noted for his black belt level judo which he has displayed in some fights, taking opponents down and controlling them.
Young (8-4) will be looking to rebound from his first defeat in the UFC at the hands of Dustin Poirier at UFC 131. Young still put on a competitive fight despite going into the bout on short notice. Young primary fought in local circuits based in England before his UFC debut.
Scanlon's (7-1) last fight was at UFC 122 where he loss to Pascal Krauss via unanimous decision. Scanlon is noted for his grappling, five of his seven wins ended via submission.
Head (7-2) suffered a rear naked choke defeat by Nick Ring in his Octagon debut at UFC 131. Surprisingly it wasn't Head's first run in with an Ultimate Fighter veteran; he has fought Gerald Harris and Jesse Forbes in previous bouts.
UFC 138 will be held on November 5 at the LG Arena in Birmingham, England. The main event is a middleweight bout between Chris Leben and Mark Munoz. Their fight will be the first five round non-title bout in the UFC.
