Tonight's card is coming to you live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and features light-heavyweight champion Rashad Evans, as he puts his light-heavyweight title on the line against Shotokan Karate specialist, Lyoto Machida. In the co-main event, Matt Hughes takes on bitter rival and fellow welterweight contender Matt Serra in a long-awaited grudge match.

UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans vs. Lyoto Machida: Lyoto Machida wins by knockout at 3:57 of round two.

Matt Hughes vs. Matt Serra: Matt Hughes wins by unanimous decision.

Drew McFedries vs. Xavier Foupa-Pokam: Drew McFedries wins by TKO at :37 of the first round.

Dan Miller vs. Chael Sonnen - Chael Sonnen wins by unanimous decision.

Sean Sherk vs. Frankie Edgar - Frankie Edgar wins by unanimous decision.

UFC 98 Main Card Blow-By-Blow:

Main Event: UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans vs. Lyoto Machida

Round one: Machida lands a high kick for the strike of the fight two minutes in then a body kick three minutes in.  Machida lands a combination of punches then a big right that knocks Evans down. Evans is hurt but is still able to avoid further damage before getting it back to their feet.  The round ends and Machida has won it 10-9.

Round two:  Evans is starting the round carefully again.  They feel each other out and Machida attempts a takedown from the clinch.  Evans averts the takedown and gets free.  They trade flurries before going back to measuring each other up.  Machida lands a great punch and continues the barrage with Evans in big trouble.  Machida continues the attack before a final left to Evans' chin finishes him off.  Machida wins the fight and the light-heavyweight championship.

Final result:  Lyoto Machida wins by KO at 3:57 of the second round.

Co-Main Event: Matt Hughes vs. Matt Serra 

First round:  No surprise that they refuse to touch gloves at the ref's break.  They come together and Hughes is hurt with what appears to be a head...
