The Nevada State Athletic Commission today released salary information for fighters who competed this Saturday at UFC 98.
The event took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV and produced a live gate of approximately $3.4 Million. The NSAC also reported that the total payroll from the event was $957,000.
Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Rashad Evans and former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes, each topped the individual earnings list taking home $200,000. Evans was defeated by Lyoto Machida in the main event and Hughes was the victor over Matt Serra in the co-main event.
Other top payouts include new UFC light heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida with $140,000. Matt Serra netted $75,000, Chael Sonnen took home $50,000 and Brock Larson earned $42,000.
Matt Hughes, Matt Serra, Lyoto Machida and Brock Larson each earned an additional $60,000 due to UFC "fight night" bonuses.
