The UFC's first visit to Oklahoma in nearly 15 years is over, and TUF 5 winner Nate Diaz, and Gray Maynard, were the night's big winners in the two featured bouts of the event.

UFC Fight Night 19 event took place Wednesday night, Sept. 16, at Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, and the night's main card aired live on Spike TV.

In the main event of the night, Nate Diaz defeated Melvin Guillard via second-round submision. The fight started off with a bang as Guillard dropped Diaz with a right hand. Diaz recovered, but his opponent seemed to control the standing, and scored takedowns with ease. Diaz scored with some takedowns of his own but Guillard would get back up. Diaz seemed to settle down in the second round as Guillard made a effort to keep his distance. Guillard closed the distance and went for a takedown but he made a mistake and left his head down and Diaz easily slapped on a guillotine choke that forced his opponent to tap out.

In the co-main event, Gray Maynard earned a hard-fought split decision win over Roger Huerta. Huerta fended off Maynard's takedown attempts so that the two lightweights would turn the fight into a stand up battle for much of the first two rounds. Maynard would hit his trademark takedown to start the third, and dominated Huerta on the ground for nearly the whole third round. Huerta did survive a scary moment in the third round as his opponent locked on a Kimura during a scramble and torqued on Huerta's arm. However, Huerta would go on to survive.

In other main card action, Former WEC welterweight champion Carlos Condit defeated Jake Ellenberger via split decision. Condit would get dominated and dropped twice in the first round by the Octagon newcomer, however, the "Natural Born Killer" was able to prevail in the last two rounds, with a superior ground game, and grind out the decision victory.

Nate Quarry and Tim Credeur opened up the televised main card with a tough middleweight scrap. Quarry would earn the unanimous decision victory as he would survive a first round knockdown and deep rear-naked choke attempt from his opponent.
