UFC light heavyweight, Matt Hamill, says that he will retire according to bloodyelbow.com.
Hamill was recently defeated at UFC 133 via TKO in the second round by Alexander Gustafsson. For the 34 year old, it was his second loss of 2011 after losing to Quinton Jackson at UFC 130 via unanimous decision earlier this year.
Hamill will leave MMA with a record of 10-4, with nearly every fight fought in the UFC aside from his MMA debut.
Hamill was introduced to the UFC after his run on the Ultimate Fighter season three where his top level wrestling skills were put onto full display. In the six years that make up Hamill's career, he holds notable victories over Keith Jardine, Mark Munoz and Tito Ortiz.
Currently it is unclear if Hamill's retirement is final or if he would eventually come out of retirement like many before him.
