by Hubert Lau on June 22, 2011

The T.J. Grant vs. Charlie Brenneman bout at UFC on Versus 4 is called off after Grant suffered an  illness, preventing him from competition according to ufc.com.

Grant's UFC run is marred by an up and down record since a successful split decision debut over Ryo Chonan. In following fights, Grant would go 2-3 in five fights.

Brenneman is 2-1 in the UFC, fresh off of a unanimous decision victory over Amilcar Alves at UFC: Fight for the Troops 2.

Additionally, Matt Brown will be filling in for an injured Martin Kampmann who was scheduled to fight John Howard. Brown and Howard are in desperate need of a victory as both men are looking to snap their consecutive losing streaks.

UFC on Versus 4 is headlined by a welterweight tilt between up and comer, Rick Story, taking on UFC veteran, Nate Marquardt, who is making his welterweight debut. Other bouts include heavyweight strikers, Cheick Kongo fighting Pat Barry. The Ultimate Fighter season 10 veteran, Matt Mitrione, to fight  Christian Morecraft.
