The top ranked British heavyweight, Rob Broughton, has signed a contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, according to a report in Fighters Only.
Broughton, 14-5, who trains with Michael Bisping and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson at the Wolfslair MMA Academy, recently was victorious in the ZT Fight Night heavyweight tournament, defeating fellow U.K. ranked heavyweights James Thompson, Neil Wain and Oli Thompson along the way.
He is thought to have signed a four fight deal.
The 27 year-old, who represented England for M-1 Global in 2009, will be joined by light-heavyweight Tom Blackledge and welterweight Kurt Warburton, also fighting out of Wolfslair.
Blackledge, 9-6, was a coach on Rampage Jackson's team on TUF 10 and has also represented M-1 recently.
Warburton holds an impressive 6-1 record with a notable victory over TUF 9 winner Ross Pearson. Although he drew with, and was also defeated by Pearson in two previous semi-professional bouts.
The trio of deals represents a huge coup for Wolfslair as they compete to be the most successful British team, with the recent emergence of Roughhouse and Team Koabon.
The academy also has another reason to celebrate as Cheick Kongo signed a new six-fight deal with the UFC, despite going 1-2 in his last three fights with the promotion.
The French striker showed improved wrestling and an impressive gameplan in a victory over Paul Buentello in his last outing in the Octagon. He will hope to build on that win with this deal.
