The man accused of murdering former UFC fighter Justin Eilers, will have to wait a week longer for his trial date. James R. Malec, Eilers’ setpfather, is being charged with his death after an apparent argument on Christmas night. The new date for the trial has been set for August 31 according to a report posted on Sherdog.com.
Eilers was only 30 years old when he died, and a few years ago, he had a chance to fight for the UFC Heavyweight Title against Andrei Arlovski. Eilers has faced other notable fighters including Paul Buentello, Cabbage Correira, and Pedro Rizzo.
