Video: Fighters pay tribute to Jens Pulver
by Natalia Baage on March 09, 2010

Following his loss at WEC 47 this past weekend, Jens Pulver stood in the center of the cage and listened to the crowd cheer for him. Even with a 1-5 record with the organization, he orchestrated all the fans in Columbus, Ohio.

He was overcome with emotion, saying that he loved the crowd far too much to put them through another loss. While not officially retired, it is still uncertain if Pulver will fight again.

In the following video, Scott Jorgensen, Dominick Cruz, LC Davis, Javier Vazquez and Reed Harris give their thoughts on "Lil Evil" at the post-fight press conference, sharing their memories of Pulver's career and kind-hearted personality.

 |  (4) Comments Five Knuckle Shuffle: The title was a little misleading to me, I thought he'd died. I like Pulver, he's slightly goofy and generally an all around good bloke. Although it's certainly in his best interest to call it a day, which it sounds like he's doing. Wandering_Minstrel: We love ya Jens. Mtx: Whenever I see Jens cry it makes me wanna cry as well. This is a guy with hell of a past who overcome lots of it to become successful. I feel for this guy, but I also think its time for him to retire for sure. He isn't the same fighter he was before and he hasn't evolved with the sport. Its probably really hard for him, but he should really hang his gloves now. GO HARD: jens is the man... q; D i dedicate my avatar to him.
