UFC welterweight Marcus Davis is looking to rebound from his previous losses, and it looks like he plans on using his kickboxing to win his next fight.
On May 8, Davis will step back into the Octagon to face Jonathan Goulet at UFC 113. He and his coach Mark DellaGrote, along with Jorge Gurgel and Patrick Cote, have been training together for his upcoming fight.
Even as a long-time boxer, Davis' hands look fast and sharp. This might prove to be a good game plan against Goulet, as the Canadian has lost eight of his 10 defeats via (T)KO or submission via strikes.
Davis (16-6) is currently on a two-fight losing streak. At UFC 106, he fell victim to Ben Saunders' height and knees. At UFC 99, he lost a very close split decision against Dan Hardy.
