On Dec. 11, Tito Ortiz left for the Middle East for a USO tour. He returned home on Dec. 19. While he was abroad, he spoke with the troops, signed autographs and posed for photographs.
Before leaving to come back to the States, Ortiz left the following message on his Twitter account:
"This has been a very long week.Got to see about 20k Troops. This has been a great Christmas moral boost for them.Im very thankful."
In addition, Ortiz said that he and his crew captured much of the visit on film, and will upload it and pictures soon. Among the activities that Ortiz took part in was him testing out the Army's guns.
Ortiz, a former UFC light-heavyweight champion, is one of the coaches on the upcoming season of Spike TV's eleventh season of "The Ultimate Fighter." He will be coaching a new roster of middleweights with opposing coach (and fellow former UFC light-heavyweight champion) Chuck Liddell. The season will premiere on March 31.
