At WEC 43 last night, Ben Henderson pulled out a 48-47 unanimous decision victory over Donald Cerrone. Not only did the fight earn Henderson the interim lightweight belt, but it also was awarded Fight of the Night.

Zuffa CEO Lorenzo Fertitta enjoyed the fight so much due to the fighters' talents - and saw that the crowd did too - and told WEC executive Reed Harris to double their Fight of the Night prize money from $10,000 apiece to $20,000.

The news was reported by MMAJunkie.com from the WEC 43's post-fight press-conference.

Mackens Semerzier earned the Submission of the Night award for his first-round triangle choke submission victory over former IFL champion Wagnney Fabiano. Semerzier earned himself $10,000 in award money.

Anthony Njokuani was awarded Knockout of the Night after defeating EliteXC veteran Muhsin Corbbrey via second-round punches. Njokuani also earned himself $10,000 in award money.
