Wanderlei Silva apprehensive about taking fight with Brian Stann

"We were actually trying to hook [Silva] up with Brian Stann. He doesn't want to fight Brian Stann. He's like, '(expletive) that; everybody is going to hate me if I fight Brian Stann. Everybody loves Brian Stann.' But that's the fight we're trying to make right now." -Dana White

UFC light-heavyweight legend Wanderlei Silva appears somewhat apprehensive about taking on "All-American" Brian Stann according to UFC president Dana White.

White, answering a question from a recent Q-and-A session before UFC Fight Night 23, revealed that he's been having trouble getting Silva to sign on for the fight, with Silva, always conscious of how fans perceive him, being less than thrilled about taking on the former Marine war hero.

If he just shows respect for him before and after the fight he shouldn't have to worry about people hating him. Stann asked for this fight during a press conference, in front of everybody. It's not like Wanderlei's going around bad-mouthing and challenging the guy. IwishIwasMMA: Who can hate Wandy?
