"Considering you guys [Strikeforce] gave me one week to train... I obviously haven't put no training into this fight. But I'm going to tell you something, I'm prepared. I've been prepared my entire career for this fight. He's never fought anybody as big, as strong and as good looking as I am. I will tell you this much, if I drop him with a one-two and he's laying on the ground -- you can bet your ass I'm going to Hogan leg drop his ass. Because you know something, he should have listened to Hulk and stayed in the pro wrestling. That's a fact."
A confident Wes Sims talks about his upcoming fight against rising MMA prospect and current TNA wrestler Bobby Lashley. With less than a week to train, a seemingly out-of-shape Sims showed up for the Strikeforce: Miami weigh-ins. Though he took the fight on short-notice, Sims believes he has all the tools to ruin Lashley's much anticipated Strikeforce debut.
Most fans remember Sims for his side-show antics and recent stint on TUF 10: "The Heavyweights." "The Whole Show" will have two advantages going into Saturday night. At 6'10" he will have a significant height advantage over the 6'3" Lashley, and Sims has over 35 professional fights compared to Lashley's 4.
Will size and experience help Sims on his way to a 23rd win? With less than 24 hours to the fight fans won't have to wait long to find out.
