Last night on the Cagewriter blog on Yahoo Sports, it was reported that "The Ultimate Fighter" Season 2 cast member Mike Whitehead was wanted by the Las Vegas Police Department for alleged sexual assault and an alleged marijuana growing operation at his Las Vegas home.

Where did Cagewriter get said information? Twitter.

A Las Vegas Newspaper reporter posted two tweets saying that Whitehead was wanted by LVPD and gave some details surrounding the case. After a couple of phone calls, one to KLAS, the news station sited in the tweet and the and Yahoo Sports blog post, and the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, I was able to confirm that the Police had indeed served a search warrant at Whitehead's home and wanted to speak with him about the alleged assault.

From what I was told by KLAS last night, no one had called them to confirm the story or details of the case before running it. In talking with the LVPD, I was led to the same impression, that no one else had called to confirm the information.

Whitehead is not in police custody at this time, but we can confirm that the LVPD are actively looking him.
