Tom Lawlor (7-3 1 NC) will meet Kyle Noke (19-4-1) at UFC on Versus 5, according to MMAWeekly.com.
UFC on Versus 5 takes place on August 14 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Lawlor was originally scheduled to take on Maiquel Falcao at UFC 134 in Brazil. That fight was scrapped though when Falcao was released from the promotion due to previous charges pressed against him. Lawlor was left without an opponent on the card. Now it seems as if has been pulled from the card all together and will instead fight nearly two weeks earlier.
Lawlor recently fought for his spot in the UFC when he took on Patrick Cote at UFC 121. Both men were coming off of back-to-back losses. Lawlor was able to use his wrestling to control Cote and take home the unanimous decision. "Filthy" Tom Lawlor quickly became a fan favorite after his stint on The Ultimate Fighter due to his extravagant weigh-ins and energy filled entrances. Lawlor has dressed up as Harold Howard, Art Jimmerson, Dan Severn and many others to the delight of the crowd.
Another TUF alumni, Noke, will look to make it 4-0 inside the Octagon. The Australian has yet to hear the scorecards announced during his UFC run, ending all three fights with two submissions and one TKO. His most recent performance ended in a beautiful rear naked choke against Chris Camozzi in front of his fellow Australians at UFC 127.
UFC on Versus 5 features a lightweight scrap between Jim Miller and Ben Henderson as well as a welterweight slugfest between Chris Lytle and Dan Hardy.
