Yuji Hoshino vs. Marlon Sandro official for Sengoku 11

World Victory Road officially announced the second bout for its Sengoku 11th Battle event as current Featherweight King of Pancrase Marlon Sandro and Cage Force Featherweight champion Yuji Hoshino will square off in a featherweight contest.

The bout was announced today at a post-fight press conference in Tokyo, where the winners of yesterday's Sengoku 10 gathered.

Sengoku 11 takes place on Nov. 7 in Tokyo, Japan, and will be broadcast in North America on HDNet.

Sandro most recently suffered his first career loss against Michihiro Omigawa in the semi-finals of the Sengoku featherweight grand prix at August's Sengoku Ninth Battle. The Nova Uniao-trained fighter sports an impressive career record of 14-1, with half of his wins being by stoppage, and he holds notable wins over the likes of Daiki Hata, Matt Jaggers and Nick Denis.

Hoshino (16-7-7) is unbeaten in his last 11 bouts, which includes eight wins and three draws during the streak. He most recently defeated Akiyo Nishiura at GCM: "Cage Force 9" last Dec. He has not tasted defeat since Dec. 2004, where he was defeated by Daisuke Nakamura at a DEEP event. The long-time Pancrese veteran sports notable wins in his career over Antonio Carvalho and former Sengoku Lightweight champion Satoru Kitaoka; while suffering hard-fought losses to UFC veterans Nate Marquardt, Shonie Carter and Chris Lytle.
